Privacy Policy

OpenST ("we", "us") is an independent app that restores internet radio and control
to Bose SoundTouch speakers. This policy explains what data the app and website handle.
We aim to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- On your network only: OpenST discovers and controls your speakers
over your local Wi-Fi. Speaker addresses, names, presets, and playback state stay on
your device and your network — they are not sent to us.
- Subscriptions: OpenST Pro is sold through Apple's App Store.
Apple processes the payment; we receive only Apple's anonymous subscription status
(active / not active). We never see your card details.
- USB unlock-key orders: if you order a USB key, your name, delivery
address, email, and payment are handled by our payment processor, Stripe, and a record
of the order (address, email, quantity, payment reference) is stored to fulfil and
support it. We never see or store your card number.
- Radio data: station search uses the public RadioBrowser directory;
your searches are sent to that service to return results.
- Diagnostics: the app may log technical events locally to help
troubleshoot. These are not collected by us unless you choose to share them with support.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, we don't run third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and
we don't build advertising profiles.
Third parties
- Apple — subscription billing (see Apple's Privacy Policy).
- Stripe — payment processing for USB key orders (see Stripe's Privacy Policy).
- RadioBrowser — public radio station directory used for search.
Data retention & your rights
Order records are kept as long as needed for fulfilment, support, and legal/accounting
obligations. You can request access to or deletion of your order data by emailing us. App
and speaker data lives on your own device and network and is removed when you delete the app.
Children
OpenST is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
